FOREIGN SECURITIES IN RUSSIA: PLACEMENT AND CIRCULATION
On 29 April 2009 the historical amendments to Federal Laws “On the Securities Market” and “On the Protection of Rights of Investors at the Securities Market” had been signed by the President of Russia, setting up legal framework for placement and circulation of foreign securities in Russia.
Not only will the adoption of these amendments allow Russian investors (including institutional ones) to legally invest into foreign securities, but it will also provide foreign issuers with an opportunity of additional capital mobilisation by placement and circulation of their securities in Russia.
The Conference is dedicated to practical aspects of foreign securities’ placement and circulation in Russia, legal and regulatory framework and technical aspects of exchange and depository services with respect to foreign securities.
Foreign Securities In Russia ’09 (FSIR ’09) is a unique event organised by MFC Institute and National League of Management Companies with a strong support of the Federal Service for Financial Markets, the Russian securities market watchdog, where representatives of business, government and self-regulatory bodies will get together to discuss the breakthrough amendments and important practical aspects of foreign securities placement and circulation in Russia.
